The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) successfully held an English Public Speaking Competition in Mosul, providing students with a valuable platform to develop essential communication and presentation skills. The event aimed to encourage confidence, critical thinking, and effective self-expression in English among participating students.

The AUIS Alumni Scholarship was established as a way for alumni to directly support the next generation of AUIS students. In January 2025, the Alumni Relations Office hosted the first-ever AUIS Alumni Gala Dinner, where ticket sales and donations were dedicated to creating a scholarship fund for high-achieving students with financial need.

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) successfully hosted the three-day closing conference of the DAAD-funded Developing Jordanian and Iraqi Support Systems in Entrepreneurship Resources (DJISSER) Project, marking the culmination of 2.5 years of collaboration with Saarland University in Germany and Hashemite University in Jordan.

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) proudly hosted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Regional and International Studies (IRIS), the center for policy research and training based at AUIS, and the Ministry of Migration and Displacement.
