Our campus sits atop a hill overlooking the city of Sulaimani and accomodates the social and educational needs of the AUIS community.

When it was first established, AUIS was located on a smaller campus in the heart of the city and had one administrative building and a dozen movable classrooms. Today, the campus houses among the best university facilities in Iraq. The current 169-hectare campus includes an administrative building and an academic building with over 50 classrooms; high-tech computer labs; a library with thousands of English language books, in addition to Kurdish and Arabic sections; high-quality dining facilities; a cafeteria; multipurpose auditoriums; a gym; two outdoor basketball courts and a soccer field. The University also includes an additional academic building with high-quality lab facilities and equipment, including a 3D printer. The campus is also home to a bookstore; math, writing and language learning centers; in addition to our Testing Center and Career Services Center. AUIS also has a 400-bed residence hall with modern dorm facilities at the heart of campus, overlooking the AUIS courtyard. All students are welcome to register for housing to live in the dorms. Located in the beautiful city of Sulaimani and situated on a hill overlooking the city, the campus provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where students can study and socialize. On any day, you will find students emerging from the cafeteria, studying in the library, enjoying the outdoors, watching sports matches, or playing music on the benches. The campus was built with AUIS's long-term plan in mind, and will be able to accommodate the continuous growth of the student body and the demand for wide-ranging educational opportunities.
