The Kamkars Lead Panel Discussion on Kurdish Music at AUIS
The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani was honored to host The Kamkars, one of the most renowned groups in Kurdish music and culture, for a panel discussion on the history and influence of Kurdish music.
Moderated by Dr. Bilal Wahab, President of AUIS, the discussion explored the evolution of Kurdish music, its role in shaping cultural identity, and its lasting influence across generations. The event also featured Bizhan Kamkar, a distinguished member of the Kamkars group known for his contributions to Kurdish and Persian classical music.

AUIS Hosts Entrepreneurial Coaching Training as Part of DAAD-Funded DJISSER Project
As part of the DJISSER Project, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), AUIS Entrepreneurship Fellows Rozhan Saman, AUIS Career Services Manager, and Haval Mustafa, AUIS HR Officer, organized a three-day entrepreneurial coaching training at AUIS from September 28–30, 2025.
The training built on knowledge and skills gained during a specialized program at Saarland University in Germany, and Hashemite University in Jordan, where AUIS representatives participated in intensive coaching sessions.
