AUIS Welcomes the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria, Her Excellency Mrs. Lina Omar

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), was honored to host Her Excellency Mrs. Lina Omar, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria, during her visit to the University.

Her Excellency met with AUIS President Dr. Bilal Wahab to discuss the University’s ongoing contributions to higher education in Iraq, the role AUIS plays in fostering civic leadership and innovation, and opportunities for expanding academic and cultural collaboration between Iraq and Bulgaria.

AUIS Hosts Entrepreneurial Coaching Training as Part of DAAD-Funded DJISSER Project

As part of the DJISSER Project, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), AUIS Entrepreneurship Fellows Rozhan Saman, AUIS Career Services Manager, and Haval Mustafa, AUIS HR Officer, organized a three-day entrepreneurial coaching training at AUIS from September 28–30, 2025.

The training built on knowledge and skills gained during a specialized program at Saarland University in Germany, and Hashemite University in Jordan, where AUIS representatives participated in intensive coaching sessions.
