American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) welcomed prospective students and their families to its Open House on August 30, 2026, providing visitors with an opportunity to explore the University, learn about its academic programs, and experience the campus environment firsthand.

Throughout the event, AUIS faculty and staff shared insights into the University’s academic programs, learning environment, student life, and the opportunities available to students during their university journey. Prospective students and their families were able to engage directly with members of the AUIS community, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of what studying at AUIS involves.

The Open House also featured a presentation on how to choose the right major, offering prospective students practical guidance on considering their interests, strengths, and future goals when making one of their most important academic decisions.

The event gave visitors a broader look at the AUIS educational experience, which combines academic knowledge with critical thinking, confidence, personal development, and opportunities for students to grow both inside and outside the classroom.
