On August 16, 2026, students from the AUIS College of Pharmacy visited the Haji Mohammed Nidham Elderly Care Center in coordination with the General Directorate of Social Care and Development in Sulaimani. The visit reflected the College’s commitment to community engagement, patient education, and preparing socially responsible future pharmacists.

During the visit, students engaged directly with elderly residents, offering practical guidance on proper medication use, adherence to prescribed treatments, and the safe handling and storage of medicines. The students also emphasized the importance of understanding medications and following treatment instructions to promote safer and more effective medication use.

The visit provided students with an opportunity to apply their pharmaceutical knowledge beyond the classroom in a real-world community setting.
