An avid global explorer who has traveled to more than 65 countries, he has led hundreds of students on low-cost study-abroad trips. He is the recipient of various teaching awards, including 2006 and 2009 Professor of the Year at LSUS, 2011 Business Faculty of the Year at Berkeley College, and 2015 Graduate Faculty of the Year at PMU. Born and raised in working-class Germany and still being the only one in the family tree to complete high school and earn a college degree, he knows all too well just how much of a difference an inclusive and supportive (yet challenging) higher education can make in someone’s life.
