Overview

The AUIS College of Pharmacy is a newly established educational institute. It delivers innovative education tools to comply with modern American and European learning styles. Students will enjoy integrated learning and practice pharmacy placements at early program enrollment. The program awards a Bachelor Science of Pharmacy after completing the necessary credits in pharmaceutical sciences. The curriculum utilizes current innovative and critical pharmaceutical technologies, including artificial intelligence, pharmacometrics, pharmacogenomics, biotechnology, and clinical pharmacy. The adopted curriculum complies with Kurdistan and Iraqi Higher Education standards.
 

The college aims to:

  • Prepare junior pharmacists as professional leaders in pharmaceutical care services.
  • Provide the community with well-prepared pharmacists capable of utilizing modern medical and pharmaceutical techniques and approaches in pharmaceutical care.
  • Contribute to healthcare services' improvement in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq by infusing the healthcare system with efficient and problem-solving graduates who can utilize artificial intelligence (AI) programs in clinical pharmacy and drug development.
  • Supply the local pharmaceutical industry with hardworking, well-trained graduates eligible to face the challenges and provide proper solutions for them.
  • Prepare critical thinkers with research minds and adequate practical capabilities to solve medical and pharmaceutical problems.

The College of Pharmacy program is committed to innovation and high-quality education. The program incorporates new techniques in the pharmaceutical field, including advanced teaching materials, integrative learning strategies, artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical biotechnology, and  genomics. The students will engage in the pharmaceutical field from the first semester and enjoy workshops, discussion sessions, solving problem-based assignments, and practicing pharmaceutical instrumentations. 

Our expectations for graduates are to be competent, innovative,  critical thinkers, and industrious-minded; they will efficiently incorporate into  the healthcare system. The AUIS Pharmacy curriculum provides students with adequate knowledge and credits to be efficient pharmaceutical care providers for their communities.
