The application process is quite simple:
01
STEP 1 Submit your application here.
02
STEP 2 As you fill out the application, you will need to register for the English placement test that will determine your English level. Choose a date that works for you. For international school graduates (or those who finished schools in the UK or US), you are exempt from the test and can skip steps #2-4.
03
STEP 3 Take the English language placement test at AUIS (free of charge for the first attempt) or submit an official English language test result (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo). You may check the accepted standardized tests at our English language test requirements. Your English language score will determine whether you are ready to start in the Undergraduate (UG) programs right away or whether you need to start with our Academic Preparatory Program (APP).
04
STEP 4 Once you take the test, you will receive your test score and the test certificate by email from the AUIS Admissions office, along with the next steps to take in your application process.
05
STEP 5 International school graduates/students who finished school abroad need to submit their diploma equalization (AUIS prepares the support letter that you need to take to the Ministry of Education - Azmoonakan office in Erbil, along with your diploma and transcripts). For more information, please read this international student criteria document
06
STEP 6 Upon selection, you will receive an acceptance letter from the AUIS Admissions Office and will be notified of the final enrollment deadline. At that time, you will need to submit your final certificate (or the grades available at that point), sign the study contract, and begin your studies at AUIS. For students starting in September, an early registration contract will be signed before final grades are submitted.
