Quality Assurance measures at AUIS work to ensure high levels of academic standards and institutional performance, and that quality is assured and enhanced on a regular basis. Our efforts are monitored by the Ministry’s Quality Assurance Committee to regulate and standardize ways to promote academic quality throughout Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
To support its mission of bringing American-style, liberal arts higher education to Iraq, AUIS has set American regional accreditation as a key institutional goal. The Accreditation Steering Committee, in pursuit of this goal, will coordinate all committees, oversee all record keeping, and produce all reports related to accreditation.

Complaints Against Professors: Students are encouraged to resolve problems with a professor by speaking with that professor. If this is not satisfactory or possible, students are encouraged to speak with the professor’s department chair or with the Dean of Students. The student’s confidentiality will be respected throughout this process. Students may not be penalized by professors for addressing their complaints in this way.
