AUIS Hosts the 3rd English Public Speaking Competition
American University of Iraq, Sulaimani proudly hosted of the 3rd English Public Speaking Competition, bringing together 135 outstanding students from across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The finalists included winners from Erbil, Kirkuk, Halabja, and Mosul, all competing for the prestigious Best Speaker Award.
Organized in collaboration with the American Corner, the event served as a vibrant platform for young voices to be heard. Throughout the competition, students demonstrated remarkable confidence, creativity, and critical thinking as they addressed diverse topics that reflected both local and global perspectives.
The competition was more than a contest, celebrating youth potential. Participants showcased not only their English language proficiency, but also their ability to articulate ideas clearly, engage audiences, and present thoughtful arguments. Families, educators, and community members gathered to witness the inspiring performances of students who represent the future leaders of their communities.
