Khadija El Alaoui is a scholar of American culture whose specializations encompass International Relations and Modern history. Currently, her research focuses on the history of the Arab and Western worlds, human diversity and cultural practices. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the American University of Iraq- Sulaimani. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. Saudi Arabia and a Visiting Scholar at McGill University, Montreal. She also served as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Peace and Justice Studies at Vassar College, New York, and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She received her MA and PhD in American Studies from the University of Dresden, Germany.
