  • Foundations: The student needs to study 4 levels of English language
  • Level 1: The student needs to study 3 levels of English language
  • Level 2: The student needs to study 2 levels of English language

Undergraduate Program (UG) students:
Students can place directly into the UG program with a minimum score on the AUIS Placement Test and do not require any APP courses.

*Students can be exempt from APP courses with a minimum score of 72 on the TOEFL iBT or 6.5 on the IELTS academic exam.
**Local applicants from international schools are exempt from taking the AUIS Placement Test

AUIS accepts high school certificates according to the regulations and requirements set by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR). The AUIS Admissions department then will issue a support letter to the student along with the completed application form which must be submitted together at the Azmoonakan office in Erbil.

*Local applicants from international schools are exempt from taking the AUIS Placement Test.

AUIS enrolls students from all 19 Iraqi governorates, the Middle East, Europe and beyond. All applicants must complete an English proficiency exam to be admitted, regardless of nationality. Students can submit official score reports for the following tests:
