The College of Dentistry at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) was pleased to participate in the inaugural Iraqi Orthodontic Symposium at Sulaimani University. Led by the esteemed Dean, Prof. Dr. Tara Ali Rasheed, and accompanied by dedicated students, the college made its mark in advancing orthodontic knowledge and practice in the region.

American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) held the 2024 Creative Arts Competition for students on Tuesday, April 29, 2024. Students who submitted their original work for the competition performed in front of an audience of community members in the Student Center, Building V.   

The Board of Trustees of the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), announced the appointment of Dr. Bilal Wahab as the institution's next President, effective August 1, 2024. Dr. Wahab will succeed President Bruce Walker Ferguson following an international search process that began one year ago.

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), recently secured first place in the Zanin Zon competition, which featured 18 universities and academic institutions from Sulaymaniyah and Halabja.

The AUIS team, composed of five talented students — Mer Kamaran (Business Administration), Sanarya Kamal (English Literature), Sava Dlawar (Civil Engineering), Mohammed Sirwan (Medical Health Sciences), and Diyari Omed (Mechanical Engineering) — excelled through five rigorous stages of the program. 

In an ongoing collaborative effort supported by the prestigious grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) played a pivotal role in delivering a training and coaching program aimed at fostering a culture of entrepreneurship within higher education institutions.

Two AUIS Teams Partake in Global Cybersecurity Competition

Two teams from the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) secured spots in the prestigious Global Cybersecurity Competition hosted by the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) and the Atlantic Council.

The Academic Preparatory Program (APP) Department at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) recently organized a spectacular Teacher Training Program focused on "The Art of Public Speaking." Over 75 teachers from more than 25 high schools in Sulaimani participated in this intensive, high-energy training aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively train their students in public speaking, debate, and the importance of cultivating confident future public speakers in Iraq.

From February 16 to 21, AUIS Law students showcased their exceptional skills and expertise at the International Commercial Negotiation and Mediation Training/Competition held right here on our campus.

AUIS Civil Engineering, Energy Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering students had the esteemed privilege of participating in the Fourth International Conference on Nanotechnology and its Applications. Held in Baghdad from February 19th to 20th, 2024, this conference provided a platform for engineers to present their research and insights in the field of nanotechnology.
