Dr. Samad’s academic interests include political philosophy, American politics, and Middle East politics. Prior to joining AUIS, he taught political philosophy and American politics at several universities in America and Bangladesh. He has published studies of Plato and Aristotle in Polis: The Journal for Ancient Greek Political Thought, and Acta Philosophica. He has also published a review essay on Egypt under Mubarak in The British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, and an essay titled “John Locke and Muslim Liberalism” in the Journal of Church and State.
