Dr. Barham Zuhdi holds a B.S. in computer engineering, an M.S. in communication systems from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom, an MBA in management from Devry University, and a Ph.D. in computer and information security from Northcentral University in the United States. She is one of the early Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts (CCIE).
Dr. Zuhdi has 28 years of experience in a variety of areas including computer networking, information security, project and team management. She holds a variety of professional certifications within those fields. She has worked for several high-tech companies and banks in the United States throughout her career. Additionally, she volunteered as a professional mentor and impact coach in the 2021-2022 TechWomen Program, initiative of the United States Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Prior to joining AUIS, Dr. Zuhdi was a Senior Engineering Manager at Twitter leading the network engineering and network operations teams. After 41 years of being abroad, Dr. Zuhdi has returned to Kurdistan to serve her community. Outside of her professional endeavors, she has a broad range of interests including interior design, traveling, pottery, and hiking outdoors.
