Lanya Ali joined AUIS as a student in November 2015 and graduated with a degree in Energy Engineering, as one of the top students in her major. She joined AUIS in Fall of 2020 as a Lab Assistant in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Department.
She is a 2019 IYLEP alumna and a previous Engineering Club Vice President at AUIS. She has taught in the Math Center as a tutor and won a MathFest competition in 2019. She has also worked as an engineer before coming to AUIS. In addition to being an engineer, she has spent her time as a volunteer for many organizations, as a project manager to help refugees, and has taught in many schools as a science and chemistry teacher for multiple stages of education.
