Rava Khorshid currently heads the Professional Development Institute. Her main focus is to provide leadership and planning for the PDI team in order to develop and enhance the scope and contribution of AUIS in the area of adult education and professional, lifelong training. She manages the excellent reputation that PDI enjoys among the public and private sector companies.
Rava holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (majored in Marketing) from the Lahti University of Applied Sciences in Finland and an MBA degree in International Business Development from the same university. She has previous 10 years of work experience within administrative, marketing and business development duties. Rava has joined AUIS in September 2012.
Rawand Abas, Business Development Manager

Rawand Abas holds the position of Business Development Manager at PDI where he is responsible for building relationships with staff members internally and clients and partners externally, and provides relevant internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, he coordinates marketing and sales activities towards achieving PDI's growth goals, and establishes and maintains a customer database for the purpose of expanding the PDI’s services to a broader audience.
Rawand has a B.A. in English Language from the University of Sulaimani and a diploma in Accounting from Hackney Community College in London and he is currently a student at the AUIS´s MBA program. Rawand has previously worked as administrator in and as an interpreter/translator in a solicitors firm in the United Kingdom. Rawand Abas joined PDI in November 2013 as PDI Coordinator.
Hanar Hemn, PDI Coordinator

Hanar Hemn holds the position of PDI Coordinator at PDI where her primary goal is to be the focal point for all courses, student registration and coordination with other members of the team to ensure seamless service. She is also responsible for ensuring effective interdepartmental collaboration in support of the office operations and its administrative functions. In addition to these duties, she is also responsible for leading and proctoring global standardized tests such as IBT TOEFL and SAT.
Hanar Hemn joined the Professional Development Institute team in January 2018 as Administrative Assistant. She has prior professional experience in the field of administration, and has also taken leadership training in the US. Hanar holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from University of Sulaimani.
