AUIS Engineering Staff Presents Research at US Pipeline Integrity Conference
AUIS Department of Engineering Lab Assistant Lanya Ali attended the Pipeline Pigging and Integrity Management (PPIM) Conference in Houston, Texas February 6 - 10, 2023 to present a two-year research project titled "Automated Methods to Estimate Transition Temperature, Upper Shelf Energy, and Uncertainty from Charpy V-Notch Data."
The project was a collaboration with a total of six researchers, including AUIS Engineering Assistant Professor Dr. Nathaniel Switzner.
During the conference, which was attended by prominent oil and pipeline companies, Lanya and one of her co-authors presented their findings, for which they received significant attention and interest from attendees.
Lanya also fulfilled a life-long dream of visiting the NASA Johnson Space Center, where she was captivated by the the history and evolution of human space exploration.
