Seven students from the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) recently participated in a three-day workshop in Germany, focusing on design thinking, startup building, and postgraduate opportunities. This incredible opportunity was made possible through AUIS’s partnership with Saarland University and Hashemite University, funded by the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service.

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) Medical & Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Class for Life institution, recently conducted a free Basic Life Support (BLS) training for staff and faculty members. This initiative aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills, ensuring they are prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) welcomed faculty members and students from the University of Tikrit's College of Language and Arts for a specialized Intensive English Language Training program running from January 26-30, 2025. The five-day program focused on enhancing participants' professional communication abilities in both spoken and written English.

The event celebrated Watts’ latest book, Republic of Dreams, which explores the history and resilience of Iraqi Kurdistan through the extraordinary journey of AUIS alumnus Peshawa Ahmed.

Dr. Mohammed Nawzad Sabir, Interim Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), recently participated in the 8th Regional Pharmacy Faculty Development Workshop held on January 10 and 11, 2025, in Dubai, UAE. Hosted by the Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls, this annual academic event is organized under the auspices of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA, and targets Middle East pharmacy programs seeking accreditation.
