Albasheer scholarship
The Albasheer Scholarship will support two outstanding Iraqi students—one female and one male—in pursuing their undergraduate education at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS). This scholarship aims to empower talented youth and expand access to world-class education in Iraq.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a Baccalaureate score of 80% or higher.
- The scholarship covers any of the following undergraduate programs:
* Business Administration
* Information Technology
* Engineering
* English and Translation
* Social Sciences and Law
* Mathematics and Natural Sciences
Requirements:
- AUIS will identify and verify eligible candidates for inclusion in the scholarship lottery.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain good academic standing and comply with all AUIS scholarship policies.
Application process:
- The Scholarship promotion will happen until December 30, 2025 and that is the deadline to apply and get the file complete.
- All candidates must submit the application for studies at AUIS: https://auis.edu.krd/student-registration
- All candidates must have an English test score – either submit TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo score or take the AUIS test free of charge (either at AUIS or at AUIS office in Baghdad: 0775 850 4924)
- All eligible candidates must submit a motivational letter to [email protected] explaining why they are applying for this scholarship, why they want to study at AUIS, what they would like to study and why.
- From the pool of eligible candidates who have their full application at AUIS, Mr. Albasheer will conduct a live lottery drawing during his show in January to select the scholarship recipients.
- If the selected winners are unable to enroll at AUIS before the beginning of February, alternate winners may be chosen through additional drawings.
