AUIS at the Sulaimani Book Fair 2024
From November 28 to December 8, 2024, the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) proudly participated in the 11-day Sulaimani Book Fair, showcasing the university's academic excellence, publishings, and vibrant community.
The AUIS booth served as a dynamic space for engagement, featuring sections dedicated to Admissions, the Moulaksi Library, and Kashkul, the university’s cultural center. Visitors explored the library’s diverse collection of books, learned about its extensive online resources, and participated in engaging activities. Kashkul captivated audiences with its publications and cultural contributions, while Admissions welcomed prospective students, offering them a chance to participate in a daily prize draw, including a special “Lunch with the AUIS President.”
AUIS’s participation also included contributions from various departments, such as the Math and Science Department, Dentistry College, Engineering Department, and the Medical Health Sciences Department, which introduced visitors to their innovative projects and activities. The Professional Development Institute (PDI) also participated, engaging the audience with its initiatives aimed at equipping professionals with skills for career advancement. These diverse contributions underscored the interdisciplinary strengths of AUIS and its commitment to community enrichment.
AUIS also left a lasting impression on the stage. The fair's opening ceremony was inaugurated by Kashkul, with the AUIS Student Band delivering a lively musical performance that set the tone for the days ahead. Throughout the event, AUIS faculty, staff, and students took to the stage to host interactive activities, including language games, poetry readings, storytelling sessions, and discussions about the university’s programs and opportunities.
By blending academic engagement with creative performances and cultural showcases, AUIS highlighted its commitment to innovation, education, and community connection. The university's active participation reinforced its role as a leader in fostering learning and growth.
