Vance Serchuk
Chair , Advancement and External Relations Committee, AUIS Board of TrusteesVance Serchuk is a Partner at the investment firm KKR where he is Executive Director of the KKR Global Institute, responsible for geopolitical analysis and strategy, and a member of the KKR Americas Private Equity Industrials Team where he leads KKR’s investments in aerospace, defense, and space. He has served on the board of multiple KKR portfolio companies including CIRCOR, Novaria Group, Advanced Navigation, Hensoldt Inc., and United Group. He is also a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, an adjunct senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security in Washington, DC, and a board member of Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty.
Prior to joining KKR, Vance served as the Senior National Security Advisor to Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and a professional staff member on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. A former monthly columnist for the Washington Post, Vance’s writings have also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic, and Politico. He graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, earned a JD from Yale Law School, and was a Fulbright scholar in the Russian Federation. He is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve.
