Gail Dady
Member, AUIS Board of TrusteesMs. Dady has been a Partner at DC Capital Partners since the firm’s inception. She has over 24 years of investment experience ranging from investment banking to private equity. Ms. Dady is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment activities from identification of acquisition targets to working with the management teams in each of the portfolio companies to establish strategic direction and execute plans for growth and value creation.
Currently, Ms. Dady serves on the Board of Directors of all of DC Capital Partners portfolio companies and previously served on the Board of Directors of National Interest Security Company, LLC ("NISC"), a DC Capital Partners’ portfolio company which was acquired by IBM and SC3, a portfolio company acquired by General Dynamics.
Before joining DC Capital Partners, Ms. Dady served as a Principal at Veritas Capital where she led the Washington DC office. Prior to joining Veritas Capital, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Quarterdeck Investment Partners, Inc. ("Quarterdeck"), a leading boutique investment banking firm specializing in the aerospace, defense and technology sectors. Ms. Dady established the Washington, DC office for Quarterdeck and was responsible for managing the firm's mergers and acquisitions advisory practice. She also served as Chief Operating Officer of the firm.
Prior to Quarterdeck, Ms. Dady served for 20 years as an officer in the United States Navy where she served in a number of assignments including the staff of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Commander of Allied Forces Southern Europe, and the Department of State’s Bureau of Political/Military Affairs.
Ms. Dady serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S.-UAE Business Council and the Board of Governors of the Middle East Institute. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and formerly served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Guard Youth Foundation where she also chaired the Foundation's annual Gala for 10 years. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Upperville Colt and Horse Show, the oldest horse show in the U.S. Ms. Dady also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Air Museum in Britain.
Ms. Dady holds a B.A. in Political Science from East Tennessee State University and an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Ms. Dady served as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University.
