Dr. Rebar Taeeb Abdulwahid is an Associate Professor of Physics and an adjunct faculty member at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS). He earned his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics and Advanced Materials through a joint program between the University of Sulaimani and the University of Malaya in 2023. He also holds an MSc in Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronic Devices (Distinction) from the University of Surrey, UK.
Dr. Rebar has over 98 publications in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus-indexed international journals, and he has served as a reviewer for more than 60 scientific journals. He is a member of the editorial board for Chemistry and Ecology and Discover Electrochemistry, and he has acted as guest editor for a special issue in Membranes on eco-friendly materials and technologies. In recognition of his scientific contributions, he was named among Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists (2024 edition).
His research interests include nanomaterials and nanotechnology for energy storage, biodegradable and green polymer electrolytes, and sustainable materials for supercapacitors. He is also highly experienced in materials characterization techniques, FACULTY PROFILE [TEMPLATE] thin film growth, and polymer electrolyte development. Dr. Rebar has more than 15 years of teaching and laboratory experience across undergraduate and graduate levels, with expertise in different modules and laboratories. He has also supervised student research projects and contributed to developing lab manuals and curricula.
