Profile
Dr. Imam received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Roy and Diana Vagelos Laboratory at UPENN. Dr. Imam has more than ten years of teaching experience in Bangladesh and at King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals. He worked as a principal investigator of several externally-funded research projects and supervised Ph.D. students.
Dr. Imam joined AUIS in Fall 2019. His areas of research and practical experience include supramolecular chemistry, organic synthesis, and polymer chemistry. His current research is focused on synthesis and characterization of self-assembling dendrimers.
Dr. Imam has published a number of scientific papers in highly reputed journals and has numerous conference contributions and presentations. He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society.
