Profile

Dr. Nathaniel teaches mechanics of materials, materials science, manufacturing, measurements laboratory, and senior design at AUIS. He researches steel pressure vessel and pipe metallurgy including processing, composition, microstructure, properties, and failure analysis. Dr. Nathaniel is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in the State of California and has worked for RSI-Pipeline Solutions, Exponent, Valero, ExxonMobil, and Honeywell. He was granted his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines, where he studied stainless steel forging and cladding processes. He obtained his B.S. from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology).
