The Program and Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing programs and events for the Center for Energy and Natural Resources (CENR). The role involves developing, coordinating, and managing a wide range of initiatives that support the Center’s strategic goals. The Manager will oversee the design and delivery of new programs and events and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maximize impact and visibility.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all programs and events organized by the Center.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise event staff in accordance with staffing requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Director and venue or operations teams.
  • Oversee event setup and closing procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to uphold service excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective communication and seamless event delivery.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to varying outdoor conditions.
  • Manage event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Oversee staff onboarding, scheduling, and preparation of operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate records, including safety documentation, checklists, and training materials.
     

Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as event management, hospitality, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in event management, project management, event planning, customer service, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic and/or Kurdish is preferred.
