Aween Omer is an APP Instructor at AUIS, and she holds a Master's Degree in English Literature from the University of Kurdistan-Hawler (UKH), completed in 2023, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Koya University, where she graduated among the top ten students in her cohort in 2019. Her advanced studies in English literature equipped her with a deep understanding of literary theory, critical analysis, and diverse literary traditions, enhancing her skills as both an educator and a scholar.
Aween began her teaching career in 2019, taking on roles in both secondary and higher education. Her commitment to academia led her to serve as an Assistant Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Sulaymaniyah (2020–2021), where she supported students' academic and professional development through innovative teaching methodologies. Aween's dedication to education and leadership was further demonstrated during her tenure as the Vice Principal of Parsian Zagros International Community (2022–2024), where she spearheaded academic and scientific initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
In June 2024, Aween participated in a leadership visit to Oxford University Press alongside Ministry of Education staff. As a key contributor, she provided translations and in-depth explanations of the Oxford curriculum, showcasing her expertise in educational frameworks and her ability to bridge communication gaps in multicultural settings. Aween is passionate about the intersection of leadership, education, and language development. Her journey reflects a dedication to empowering students and communities, leveraging her academic expertise and leadership skills to inspire and innovate.
