About PDI

The Professional Development Institute (PDI) at American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) offers executive education and professional services for individuals, businesses, and both government and non-governmental organizations in Iraq and across the region. Our highly proficient and experienced trainers and faculty are committed to providing professional development courses of the highest quality. PDI provides professional development courses on topics in various areas, including English language studies and management and business training.    
PDI’s mission is to promote the development of skills and competencies in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), as well as in wider Iraq, through providing top quality professional development and consulting services to individuals and businesses in the private, public, and non-governmental sectors.
PDI aspires to prepare individuals and businesses with skills needed for the future and, consequently, to contribute to human capacity development in the KRI and Iraq. The world is changing rapidly through innovation and technologies, and PDI strives to keep pace with these changes. 
The Professional Development Institute at AUIS has been named the first Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) in Iraq by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®, the world’s largest project management member association. PDI has met PMI's rigorous quality criteria for course content, instructor qualification, and instructional design. PDI is approved by PMI® to help project managers achieve and maintain the Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Program Management Professional (PgMP)® , Project Management Scheduling Professional PM-SP® and other PMI® professional credentials. 
PDI is also certified as a Cisco Academy, and is offering CCNA courses for IT professionals to advance their careers. 
Additionally, PDI supports individuals, organizations, and professional groups with courses and programs covering a wide range of subjects, including English language studies and management and business training. Native English-speaking instructors employ modern teaching methodologies designed to prepare students for an emerging and international market.
