On Tuesday, September 24, AUIS had the honor of welcoming the Netherlands Ambassador in Baghdad, Ms. Janet Alberda, to our campus. Ambassador Alberda was accompanied by the Interim Consul General, Mr. Roelof Van Ees. During their visit, they met with AUIS President, Dr. Bilal Wahab, to discuss potential avenues for academic collaboration between AUIS and Dutch institutions. 

The meeting highlighted exciting opportunities for AUIS students, including potential internships with Dutch companies operating in the region, as well as scholarship opportunities to support students in pursuing further education or research in the Netherlands. Both parties emphasized the importance of international partnerships to enrich the academic experience and career development of AUIS students. 

This meeting marks an important step in strengthening ties between AUIS and the Netherlands, with further discussions on cooperation expected to follow.
