March 13, 2025 – AUIS had the honor of hosting His Excellency Mr. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, for a special visit that fostered discussions on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the future of Kurdistan’s business landscape.

The visit began with a roundtable discussion with AUIS alumni entrepreneurs and bank representatives, held in the AUIS Boardroom. Alumni business owners and representatives from the banking sector had the opportunity to present their ventures, discuss the challenges they face, and explore opportunities for growth. The discussion provided valuable insights into the evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Kurdistan Region, with Mr. Talabani sharing his perspectives on government initiatives and support for local businesses.

Following the roundtable, Mr. Talabani delivered a lecture on Innovation and Creativity to students. The session included an engaging discussion where students posed questions about fostering creativity in business, navigating market challenges, and the role of innovation in economic development.
