On February 13, 2025, AUIS had the honor of hosting Mr. Neil Gandavda, Head of the Economic Unit at the US Consulate General in Erbil, for a day of insightful discussions and engagement with students, faculty, and alumni. The visit began with a campus tour, offering Mr. Gandavda a firsthand look at AUIS’s state-of-the-art facilities and dynamic learning environment.

Following the tour, he participated in a roundtable discussion with AUIS alumni entrepreneurs, where alumni business owners shared their experiences, discussed challenges, and explored opportunities for economic growth in the region. His engagement with AUIS graduates highlighted the university’s strong network of professionals making an impact in various industries.

As part of his visit, Mr. Gandavda delivered a lecture in the International Political Economy class, providing valuable insights into global economic trends and diplomatic efforts. The session included an interactive Q&A, where students had the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions on economic policies and international trade.
