AUIS Successfully Launches Annual English Teacher Training Program
On November 28th, the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), successfully held its annual English Teacher Training Program, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to advancing education across the Kurdistan Region. For the first time, the program was launched simultaneously in Sulaimani at the AUIS campus and in Erbil at the Ishik Brayati School, broadening its impact and accessibility.
Led by the Academic Preparatory Program (APP) under the directorship of Zimkitha Mpatheni, this comprehensive initiative aims to empower educators with advanced teaching methodologies, classroom-friendly technological tools, and innovative language learning strategies to enhance student engagement.
The sessions were conducted by an accomplished team of APP instructors, including Shan Fadhil, Wided Ben Tekaya, Honya Rashid, Matthew Peszek, Katie Ng, Dara Rahman, Sharol Ozkaya, Dr. Shahin Ahmedishad, and Aween Omer Ali. Drawing on their diverse global experiences, these instructors offered valuable insights into international trends and modern approaches to language education.
