AUIS Students Excel in Research Paper Competition: Prestigious Recognition by ACI Kurdistan Chapter and Kurdistan Engineering Union

In an impressive display of academic excellence and research prowess, AUIS students have made their mark in a rigorous competition evaluated by the ACI Kurdistan Chapter and the Kurdistan Engineering Union. Competing against peers from 18 universities, AUIS students have earned top honors.

Out of the numerous entries submitted, five research papers from AUIS received notable accolades under the supervision of esteemed AUIS Engineering professor, Dr. Ahmed Salih. Four of these papers secured top positions in the first category, earning excellent recognition for their contributions. The first paper, titled "Efficient models to evaluate the effect of C3S, C2S, C3A, and C4AF contents on the long-term compressive strength of cement paste," was authored by Ahmed Ahmed and Payam Abubakr. The second paper, titled "Predicting the Compressive Strength of Green Concrete at Various Temperature Ranges Using Different Soft Computing Techniques," was authored by Ahmad Khalil and A. M. T. Hassan.

The third paper, titled "Predictive modeling of compressive strength in self-compacting concrete modified with Silica fume and fly ash using different models," was authored by Bassam Abd Ali, Sozin Salih, and Militan Omer. The fourth paper, titled "Soft computing models to evaluate the effect of fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) on the compressive strength of concrete in normal and high strength ranges," was authored by Hba Xalid and A.M.T. Hassan.

Additionally, one other paper was honored in the second category, receiving outstanding recognition for its innovative approaches and significant findings. The paper is titled "Modeling The Behaviour of Chemical Resistant Concrete Modified with Fly Ash under Different Ph Environments," and it was authored by Raz Rizgar.

AUIS is proud of its students' accomplishments and looks forward to supporting future research endeavors that contribute to the advancement of knowledge. Congratulations to the winning students and their dedicated supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Salih, for their outstanding achievements and for bringing honor to AUIS on such a prestigious platform.
