Academic Preparatory Program Celebrates 2025 Graduation
On August 3, 2025, the Academic Preparatory Program (APP) proudly hosted another successful graduation ceremony, honoring Level 3 students for their dedication and achievement. This year, APP celebrated the graduation of 96 students, all of whom will begin their undergraduate studies in Fall 2025.
The Academic Preparatory Program is designed to equip students with advanced English proficiency and essential academic skills to ensure a smooth transition into university-level coursework. With a faculty of highly qualified international educators, APP draws on extensive expertise in applied linguistics and diverse educational backgrounds to help students refine their communication skills, uncover their academic strengths, and build the tools needed for long-term success.
APP is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), a respected U.S.-based accrediting body. Under the leadership of Director Zimkitha Mpatheni, the program continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and student growth.
The department extends its heartfelt gratitude to its dedicated faculty and staff, whose hard work and passion make the program’s success possible: Ms. Honya Rashid, Mr. Alexander Jorgensen, Ms. Wided Ben Tekaya, Dr. Shahin Ahmedishad, Mr. Matthew Peszek, and Ms. Rose Azwar.
