The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) was proudly represented at the 2nd Iraqi Orthodontic Symposium held in Baghdad by Prof. Dr. Tara Ali Rasheed, Interim Dean of the AUIS College of Dentistry.

The symposium brought together orthodontic professionals and academics from across Iraq to exchange expertise and explore advances in the field, with a particular focus on Digital Orthodontics and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Tara served as a VIP guest, academic professor, and chairperson of the symposium’s opening session. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field, she was awarded a Shield of Excellence. She was also given the honor of awarding several esteemed members of the symposium’s scientific committee.

Her participation reflects AUIS’s expanding role in the national academic and professional landscape, and underscores the University’s ongoing commitment to excellence in education, innovation, and professional development.
