AUIS Professor Highlights Disability Studies at International Symposium

On September 8, 2025, Dr. Lynn Rose, Professor of Social Sciences at AUIS, presented “Disability Studies and Counselling Careers: Essential Keywords” at the University of Sulaymaniyah. Her talk was part of the first panel in the series “The Status of Colleges of Education in the Labor Market and in Shaping the Future of the Contemporary World.”
The panel was moderated by Dr. Zamdar Hama Rasul and featured fellow panelists Dr. Muhammad Hussein and Ms. Sherri Talibani. This discussion was held within the 2nd International Symposium of the College of Education, organized in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education of Sulaymaniyah. The symposium also marked the second year of the university’s counselling program, underscoring its growing impact in preparing professionals for the future.
