As part of its continuous efforts to support capacity development in the region, the Professional Development Institute (PDI) is proud to announce the delivery of a 6-month tailored English Language Training Program for Peshmerga officers and soldiers from the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs (MOPA) of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). This training is sponsored by Spirit of America, a U.S. non-governmental and nonprofit organization. 

The program kicked off with a special launch event on October 17, 2024, at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, with the presence of members from the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs (MOPA), the U.S. Consulate, and Spirit of America. His Excellency, Mr. Shorish Ismail, the Minister of MOPA, was also in attendance at the event. 

These kinds of language courses can help MOPA officers and soldiers not only develop their English language skills but also access a wider range of military-related courses and help them become lifelong learners.
