AUIS Medical & Health Sciences Department Hosts Free Basic Life Support Training for Campus Community
On November 24, 2024, The AUIS Medical & Health Sciences department, in collaboration with the Media Medical Complex, hosted a highly impactful Basic Life Support (BLS) training session. The training was offered free of charge to AUIS students, staff, and faculty members, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering a safer campus environment by equipping its community with essential life-saving skills.
The session combined theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training, focusing on managing and rescuing individuals in life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and airway obstruction. Certified medical professionals, adhering to standardized training protocols, led the workshop, ensuring participants received high-quality instruction.
Speaking about the initiative, the organizers emphasized its importance: "Basic Life Support is essential for everyone. It saves lives and promotes a sense of safety." They encouraged the AUIS community to embrace this opportunity, highlighting that the university plans to offer two sessions—one in the fall and another in the spring semester—to reach as many individuals as possible.
Participants who successfully complete the training will receive official completion certificates, marking their readiness to respond effectively to medical emergencies and potentially save lives in critical situations.
