AUIS Medical & Health Sciences Department Explores Partnership with Mercy Medical City
As part of AUIS's ongoing efforts to collaborate with local hospitals and medical centers, an official site visit was conducted to explore potential partnerships and collaborations with Mercy Medical City. AUIS President, Dr. Bruce Ferguson, Vice President, Dr. Robert Perrins, and Chair of Medical Sciences, Dr. Mohanad Nada, visited Mercy Medical City and met with the administration to discuss mutual interests and possible projects. Dr. Sarwar, Director of Mercy Medical City, provided a detailed demonstration of the newly built hospital and the services offered to patients.
The AUIS Medical & Health Sciences department, the first established medical department at AUIS, has been a pioneer in creating medical programs based on US standards. "Our department is determined to set the example of the best medical education in the region by adhering to US standards. We aim to leverage AUIS's strong connections with US universities and the resources available in the city of Suli to provide unique medical education and training to our students," stated Dr. Mohanad Nada, Chair of the AUIS Medical & Health Sciences department.
