Sulaimaniyah, Iraq – November 7, 2024 – The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), under the leadership of its president, Dr. Bilal Wahab, welcomed a delegation from the University of Tikrit to explore new avenues for educational and research collaboration. The visiting delegation included the Chair of the English Department, the Chair of the Translation Department, and two professors from the English faculty. 

Dr. Wahab and AUIS faculty engaged with the delegation in discussions on potential joint programs, research collaborations, and initiatives designed to enhance the student experience at both institutions. These talks underscored a shared commitment to academic excellence and a vision of knowledge exchange. 

This visit reflects AUIS’s ongoing efforts to build robust partnerships with Iraqi universities, creating a network that supports students, faculty, and the academic community across Iraq. Through this collaboration, AUIS and the University of Tikrit aim to advance Iraq’s educational landscape, preparing skilled graduates equipped to drive positive change in the region.
