Sulaimani, Iraq - On Sunday, June 9, 2024, the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) celebrated its 13th Commencement ceremony, honoring the Class of 2024. The event featured inspiring addresses from a lineup of distinguished speakers.

The ceremony began with an address by AUIS President Dr. Bruce Walker Ferguson, followed by speeches from H.E. Dr. Barham Salih, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at AUIS. The distinguished Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq, Stephen Charles Hitchen, also shared his insights, along with KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research H.E. Aram Mohammad Qadir and AUIS Board of Trustees Member Ms. Sherri Kraham Talabany. Valedictorian honors were given to Mr. Dostee Hemin Latif for the undergraduate class and Ms. Lara Jabar Saeed for the MBA graduates.
