The Dental Clinic Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations. The role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a patient-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures and ensure accurate appointment scheduling, confirmations, and updates.
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and provide information about clinic services, procedures, and policies.
- Assist patients with completing forms and updating personal or insurance details.
- Maintain and organize patient records in both electronic and paper formats while ensuring confidentiality.
- Process billing, payments, and receipts as directed.
- Coordinate with the Clinic Manager, dentists, and assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
- Prepare daily appointment lists and support the management of clinic schedules.
- Handle correspondence, filing, and general administrative duties as assigned.
- Address patient concerns or direct them to the appropriate staff member while maintaining a welcoming and organized reception area.
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, IT or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or patient service role (preferably in a dental or medical clinic).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with clinic management or scheduling software is an advantage.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism when handling patient information.
- Fluency in English and Kurdish (Arabic is an asset).
