The Admissions Reception Coordinator plays an exciting supporting role between the university and the consumer, acting as the university’s first point of contact. Under the overall supervision of the Director of Admissions, the coordinator will be answering questions related to the university programs, student life, placement tests, and any other admission-related information. The position calls for a meticulous, organized person willing to work under pressure. Data management and customer service are the cornerstone of the success of the Admissions Office, so this position will be an integral part of the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Front Desk & Client Interaction

  • Manage the Admissions front desk, ensuring professionalism, order, and excellent customer service.
  • Interact with clients via phone, email, social media, and in-person in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Meet client needs and exceed expectations, upholding AUIS’s strong reputation.
  • Be informed about all aspects of AUIS to accurately answer questions and address client concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to Admissions and client information.

2. Data Management & Reporting

  • Log all contacts in the customer database and input applicant information into the AUIS student system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospective student master lists with timely follow-ups and detailed records.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports for supervisors.

3. Admissions Operations & Support

  • Oversee registration for placement tests, send follow-up emails, and produce certificates.
  • Conduct basic administrative tasks such as copying, filing, and assisting with logistics.
  • Assist with purchasing and finance-related forms.
  • Organize and manage the main Admissions office.
  • Proactively identify and help solve problems, reporting concerns to supervisors.
    Other tasks as assigned.

4. Events, Tours & Outreach

  • Participate in student visits, campus tours, and Admissions events.
  • Investigate and pursue new client leads to expand the prospective student base.
  • Collaborate with Admissions Counselors on group visits, outreach, and communications.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Previous administrative /marketing experience preferred
  • Strong communication (ENG, Kurdish; Arabic is a plus), organizational skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail, data management, self-motivation, superior computer skills (MS Word, Excel, databases)
  • Willingness to work cooperatively

Compensation: 

The compensation package is competitive and includes base salary and benefits.
