As part of its continuous efforts to support capacity development in the region, AUIS and its Professional Development Institute (PDI) successfully hosted an afternoon business event for the local business community on December 11, 2024, at VIM Foundation premises in Sulaimani. The event focused on addressing the current challenges in Strategic Management and Leadership faced by businesses in Iraq.

The agenda featured a business lecture by Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, Business Administration & Business Lecturer at AUIS, followed by a panel discussion with industry professionals. The panel was moderated by Ms. Rava Khorshid, Director of the Professional Development Institute at AUIS, and included distinguished speakers: Dr. Alan Ali, Founder of Ava Group and Chair of the Management Board of Al-Iraqiun; Ms. Talar Noore, Marketing Director of Faruk Investment Group; and Mr. Anwar Ibrahim. The event aimed at bridging theory with practice through insightful discussions on strategic management and leadership.
