The Dental Nurse will support clinical teaching and patient care activities by assisting dentists and students during treatments, ensuring adherence to infection control standards, and maintaining an efficient and safe clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and materials in compliance with infection control standards.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and clinical procedures.
- Assist dentists and students during dental treatments and clinical sessions.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor dental supplies and equipment.
- Manage storage and ensure the availability of materials required for clinical work.
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide assistance throughout dental procedures.
- Take and process dental X-rays or impressions as directed by the dentist.
- Support the overall cleanliness, safety, and efficient operation of the dental clinic.
Job Qualifications :
- Diploma in Dental Nursing or a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or Biology.
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse, Dental Assistant, or in a similar clinical role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and infection control regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, organizing, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
- Valid professional license or certification to practice.
