Responsible for implementing programs and activities designed to enroll new students at AUIS. Responsible to represent AUIS in Baghdad and federal Iraq in general, build, develop and maintain key contact networks. Participate in full range of recruitment and
admissions efforts, including travel to different regions, group presentations, individual meetings, events, application review and related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: travel (trip planning, evaluation, reports), presentations, events, calls, correspondence
  • Data Entry and report preparation:
  • Tele- Counseling: follow up and regular calls.
  • Event Planning and Implementation.
  • Application Processing.
  • Customer Services
  • Other Tasks.

Basic Expectations:

  • A significant amount of time travelling is central to the position. It is expected that counselors are on the road for 9-10 weeks per year.
  • Weekend work expected for travel, campus events, visit days, fairs, tests, etc.
  • Evening work is expected during the heavy recruitment season.

 

Minimal Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience: Previous experience in admissions/marketing/sales preferred
Skills:

  • Extremely strong communication skills (oral and written) in English and Arabic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong self-motivation and initiative
  • Self-starter
  • Great social skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Customer service attitude
  • Attention to detail, data management
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and database applications

Other:

  • Willingness to work cooperatively and constructively with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to spend time on the road for extensive recruitment travel
