Profile

Alexander Jorgensen is a dedicated educator whose teaching experience extends to such disparate countries and regions as the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, India, Central and South America, China, and the Middle East. Additionally, Alexander has served as
an IELTS Examiner for British Council Iraq beginning in 2021.


A writer and visual artist, Alexander’s work has appeared in literary journals and anthologies, among them The Last Vispo Anthology: Visual Poetry 1998-2008 and THE RETURN OF KRAL MAJALES: Prague’s International Literary Renaissance 1990-2010.


“I am inspired by three things,” he says. “The possibility of creating art of superb acuity, the strength of my wife, and the journey of students whose efforts and enthusiasm propel them to new levels of confidence and empowerment.” Born and raised in the Northeastern United States, Alexander Jorgensen has lived and worked in his adopted Iraqi Kurdistan since 2017.
