A graduate of Yale Law School, Harvard Kennedy School, and SOAS, University of London, Mr. Al-Amin brings exceptional academic credentials and practical experience to AUIS. As an attorney admitted to the bars of New York, the District of Columbia, Dubai, and Iraq, he has built an illustrious career with renowned global law firms such as Holland & Knight and Squire Patton Boggs. His expertise spans commercial law, constitutional law, international arbitration, and public policy, with a particular focus on Middle Eastern jurisdictions.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Al-Amin has served at the highest levels of governance, including as Chief of Staff to Iraq’s Prime Minister-designate and advisor to key Iraqi leaders. His contributions to shaping policy and law have made him a sought-after speaker at prestigious forums like Chatham House and the Washington Institute.
